Mississippi Affordable College Savings Program (MACS)
Description: The Mississippi Affordable College Savings Program helps families save for their children's college education. Four investment options are offered with a minimum investment of $25 and as little $15 per pay period using payroll. Account earnings are exempt from federal and state taxes. Account savings can be used at any qualified college in the nation to pay for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and certain room and board costs.

Mississippi Prepaid Affordable College Tuition Program (MPACT)
Description: The plan allows Mississippians to contribute to a child's prepaid tuition account, which can be used at any accredited postsecondary school in the country. The program guarantees to pays tuition and mandatory fees at Mississippi's public colleges. Benefits can be used at private and out-of-state schools based on average tuition and fee costs at Mississippi's public schools in the year of attendance. Earnings from an MPACT contract are exempt from Mississippi income tax.
